Removing a radiator

New to all this so hello to everyone. Great site, only just found it.

I am removing a radiator but never done this before. The TRV does not seem to turn right off, when the heating is on I cannot turn the radiator off.

I want to take the radiator off so does the TRV come off so that I can close the valve manually?

How does the TRV come off? Can it be pulled off or do you have to undo it?
