Hi,
I have a single story bay window which I want to remove and brick up the whole so the inside wall is flush.

The bay has a 1 foot wide lead roof and is rectangular in shape.

As there is nothing above the bay, can I assume that removing the bay structure alone won't bring the house down? Can I assume all the load of the upper stories goes through the outside wall and lintel that crosses the hole to the bay.

The bay structure itself should carry no load?

thanks
