Removing boiled linseed oil from door

Hi

Please can anyone advise on removing boiled linseed oil from a door? The door was dipped to remove many layers of paint and the wood underneath was a nice aged brown pine. We then painted it with (one coat) boiled linssed oil (a few friends had used this on their internal wood fittings) but the result is an almost orange door!

How can we get this back to the condition (or as near as) it was in before the linseed oil was applied? We want the aged / faded look back.

Would a cold water high pressure wash do any good?
Or sanding (should I wash with meths or turps first)?
Maybe even nitramors?

I would definitely recommend you try to scrub the door down with White spirit first. Once you've down this you can sand the surface and the colour should return to it's natural state. Linseed oil is deep penetrating so you will need quite a bit of patience. Nitromors will not do very much as it's designed to remove layers of coating.
