Hi. Just move house and need to remove some 'orribe coving. Ih has a slightly 'extended' decorative bit down the wall and wouls have been put up circa 1990. How easy is it likely to be to remove, and am I going to end up needing to replaster? What's the best way to remove it?
Thanks
Shaun

I don't know how easy it would be to remove, but i think if you chipped away at it with a "small" bolster, (don't use a hammer), it would soon break away. It's fairly soft stuff. Hold a container underneath it as you go, and it will catch the worst of the mess. You would probably need a plasterer to patch up around the wall/ceiling line after, but it wouldn't be a major job to repair.

Roughcaster.
