Hi
I've just bought a house and inherited a bathroom floor that has clearly been a botched job. Looking for advise on how to remove the tiles from the chipboard floor so i can get lino down.
It looks like the guy that tiled the floor used wall tile adhesive, not waterproof and use textured wall paint to grout the floor, and for good measure he grouted the toilet and sink pedestal into the floor.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

go to your tool rental outlet and rent a electric tile stripper.
the blade should be for tile on wood not cement.
lay new 1/4" 4x4 sheeting, screw it down not nails they will come up and
ruin the lino, fill screw and seams with leveler, vaccum floor well and lay lino as per instructions.

In a bathroom?? I'd rip the whole lot out and get some decent ply laid.
Have a look in the flooring forum, chip and bathrooms is not recommended.
