Removing glazing Beads

Trying to remove glazing beads to remove sealed glass unit to access frame fixers, any tips to removing beads without applying excess leaverage pressure on glazed unit.

A narrow 1 inch scraper in the centre of the bead, prise it away from the glass & it should pop out; you will need even more confidence when you have to bash the glazing bead with a rubber mallet to get it back in again! Insert each corner of the bead first, make sure you engage the inner lip & work your way towards the centre of the bead.

Don't worry, you won't damage the glass; it's not as fragile as many people think; as long as you don't stress the edges or hit it with anything hard, you just need that bit of confidence with it!
