I need to remove the cm907 for papering around and then reconnect.
I cannot see how to remove the front to access the wiring and remove?
Looked under battery compartment but cannot see any obvious way of removing front panel
can anyone help please?

Thanks

The front just hinges upwards and un-clips from the back plate.

Write down the wire connections before you disconnect the backplate.

And don't forget to turn the electricity off. ;)

thanks I'll give it a go.
will disconnect and note wiring

tried lifting front up from bottom edge - not budging. Are there any catches that need releasing?

done it, couple of tabs needed pushing in above batt compartment

thanks

I have read a post on how to remove this room stat for decorating, I have tried unhinging upwards and also tried to locate two tabs above the battery compartment which allow the hinge mechanism to release, but unless I am being really dim, I still cannot get the thing to budge (can't see any tabs either, must be looking in the wrong place).

Any ideas anyone, would really appreciate it as the wall needs to be skimmed and its really causing us problems now

Thanks

handsey, I have just checked mine. Remove the batteries and behind the batteries at the top should be an arrow on either side with a picture of a screwdriver showing where to press up into where the arrows are.
I never saw this last time!!

press up where the arrows are and it should lift from the bottom.
good luck

Paul you are a star!!

Success at last, finally managed to remove it, did eventually see the arrows you described but only with a torch, would never have seen them if you hadn't told us.

Thanks for such a fast response too, hall is on its first coat of plaster!!

Hi,

The above all makes sense, but I can't seem to push the tabs up. Should I force them?

I'm renting the house, so don't want to force it unless I need to.

Thanks,

Brilliant information. I found the tabs and pushed one up and loosened one side then the other.
