Any tips on removing iron gates and their posts from cemented ground? Also what is the best course of action for dealing with aftermath ie filling the holes?

I don't paint them now and tell customers to get powder coated. Not what you are asking though.

Go hire concrete breaker or hulk smash with sledge hammer.

Can drill holes first to get it's going then hit it

Don't cut the post, use the height as leverage. There will likely be an iron footer welded to the bottom, hindering removal.
