Removing Lime Whitewash

Hi Everyone,

I renovating old Barns and want to remove Lime White Wash off the exterior walls. Is there a Chemical or does anyone have idea's how to remove this as its very tough and caked on the Stone work??
I really appreciate any information as it would be a great help

I assume you want to get back to the original stone and not repaint the walls

Either get a firm in to sandblast clean the walls or hire the equiptment.
