I am trying to remove limescale from an enamelled bath. Tried all the usual suspects from the supermarket but they make little difference.

A search on here has brought up Brick and Mortar cleaner as a possibility; but I am not keen on using hydrochloric acid.

I have now come across Geocel Ecochem Brick and Mortar Cleaner and Extreme Green Powerful Eco Brick & Mortar Cleaner, which are not acidic, and supposed to do the same job.

Has any one tried these products for removing limescale? If so, are they any good?

The alternative is to have the bath re-enamelled. But I am dubious about the firms who advertise that they can do the job without removing the bath.

Any one had any experience of these firms, the quality of their work and how long the "re-enamelling" lasted?

Hi, well I do have some experience of a firm that did a good job on a couple of massive baths in an hotel where I used to do maintenance. The firm is in Forest Row, Bath Shield  Can`t tell you how long the reatment lasted overall. I was impressed @ the work and I saw it a couple of years later at least.
