Hi,

I am in the process of renewing my kitchen. The flooring has two layers of vinyl tiles on top of the original linoleum tiles (about 35 years old) that are stuck down with a black glue (bitumen - sp!) on concrete.

It will be a b*tch removing my guess! I've already done a room that had the linoleum only but the vinyl will add an extra level of difficulty - due to stickiness etc..

Any advice on the best, quickest way of removing this to the concrete floor???

Thanks in advance...

Call your local hire shop and enquire about a floor stripper (tool that works off a transformer and has a vibrating blade about 8" wide). It will make life alot easier.
