Morning all,

In a few weeks we are having some work done in the bathroom. It will mean re-routing some of the pipes. The old pipes are boxed in with tiles covering the box sections. This will mean that there will be a lot of old grout on the existing wall tiles.

My question is how to remove the old grout without damaging the tile surface?

Any suggestions would be most helpful.

Methylated spirits and a bit of white toweling (coloured may stain the existing grout) it will soften and remove it , might need to hold a soaked bit of towel on to thick bit for a few mins to soften.
