Removing paint from brickwork

does anyone know how can I remove paint from brickwork

I want to revert to original features of the fire place, unfortunately it has been painted with what looks like yellow gloss?

Any ideas ?
 
i guess what i'm after is a chemical based paint stripper, but one that won't damage the brick work

can anybody recommend one or suggest where to get it from - would all diy shops stock them?
 
i recently had a brick arch indoors to strip and used a product called peelaway.the paint littery fell off and this paint was on for years
