Gainsborough have a stupid pressure release valve, basically a ball of silicone and unless the proper head is used the prv shoots out and you get water everywhere.
Would not using the correct Gainsborough head cause the shower to malfunction in any way?
I ask this because I've just had to buy a new "internal engine". Don't know exactly what was wrong with the old one, but what would happen is:
- I'd turn on the electric and turn on the actual shower unit.
- Small squirts of water would shoot out, followed by a splurt of hot air.
- Small squirts of water would shoot out again.
- And the process starts over again.
