Hi all

A couple of week ends ago, She who must be obeyed groomed the dogs with what I think may have been a silicone based detangling product.

The wet dogs ran around the lounge (laminate) and kitchen (Amtico) prior to being dried.

Since then the floors have been slipy.

Thus far they have been washed using standard floor cleaning products. I tried meths but it didn't seem to make much difference. Decorators wipes (Big Wipes) don't seem to have made much difference.

The following suggests a number of solutions

One of which is WD40. I don't have any so I tried some PlusGas (dismantling lubricant) on a small area. I then washed it with Fairy Liquid. dunno if it helped with the silicates but it does feel slightly greasy.

Can anyone recommend any (easy to find) products?

I am wondering if something like Lithofin Wax Off will help (even though it is designed for stone)

White spirit attacks silicone sealant so worth a try on a small area.
