I recently replaced the silicone sealant around the top of my bath . I used a stanley knife to remove the old stuff , but it took ages , and the results could have been better . Is there a better way , or any type of solvent thats worth trying , as I have a similar job to do around some window frames . ?

I've got a special tool for removing silicone but to be honest a small craft knife with a flexible blade is as good as anything I've tried. The special tool won't get into the corners so I need the knife for that. A stanley blade just isn't long or flexible enough.
Screwfix has three different kinds of solvent and they vary in price from £2.59 to £8.15. Worth a try :)
