Hi all,

I need to remove a rad from the wall for replastering.

Ive drained it down ok, but the pipes on either side don't have hardly any give and are clamping the rad in even though the nuts are loose. Also the TRV valve appears to have some kind of pipe insert from the rad which goes inside the valve opening. Cant see how far this goes.

I don't want to damage anything or break the valves / pipes.

Any tips for removal. Do I just need to be a bit more forcefull?

Cheers

those trv type conns. are a menace  they will go in a max of 5 mm. hope this helps
