I have taken the wall tiles off and wondering best way to get the adhesive off the wall as she doesn't want tiles as high up the wall as previous ones? Don't know whether to get an electric sander or wall scraper (wallpaper)? Thank you

Wallpaper steamer will soften the adhesive ,and a good ,wide, scraper to remove.

as long as it's not waterproof tile adhesive, as used in showers, it will soften when wet.
