REMOVING WOODEN WINDOW FRAMES THAT ARE BUILT INTO THE WALLS.

You will need 3 things - a reciprocating saw, a steel mallet and a crowbar.
After you have removed the glass window itself, the best place to start cutting the old frame out is atthe bottom. Make 2 cuts into the cill @ 45 degrees pointing towardsthe centre, approx.inches from either end and lever this piece out. Then prise one of the bottom corners out of the wall and cut through to get the bottom lug out. Then prise the side out further working upwards, until you can make another cut through it toremove this piece.
Repeat at the other side. Then one cut up the middle of the top and you should be able to pull down each half, lug and all.
