My mum has a 2006 Renault Clio 1.5dci and recently it has developed a problem, it is slow to accelerate and if you put your foot down to get it go when it does it leaves a load of brown/black smoke behind. After a while of putting your foot down to get up hills a dashboard light will come on- electronic fault, rectangular with a sine wave running through the middle.
OBD reader states- P0670 glow plug control module control circuit/open.
The car doesn’t seem to be in limp mode as such just slow to accelerate, there is also no odd noises that I can hear. She has had it 4 years now and it’s always used a bit of oil and that hasn’t changed.
I haven’t taken anything apart yet, where shall I start?
