Renault clio Knocking when reversing.

I have a N reg renault clio mk1. When reversing and brake it judders from the front. I've Looked at the brakes and all seem ok and not loose. Any suggestions?

Look underneath, where the gearbox is fixed to the body, at the back of the engine.
Maybe you'll see a broken engine mounting - called a 'dog bone' because of its shape.
