hi
have a 1.5 kangoo diesel which may have a ecu problem

can anybody tell me how to remove the security cover that stops you getting to the ECU?

short of taking the angle grinder to it, which i dont really want to do, cant seem to find a way around it
anyone help please

Might be an idea to double check the fault codes, usually its a sensor or wiring, then if all else fails, look at the ECU.

Sorry I can help with the bracket removal

hi
think it may have a few other probs as its not starting central locking doesnt work
immobiliser is flashing fast

have stripped the dash out the connections to everything seem ok
was going to check the ecu connections next then get a diagnostics in
just this cover is causing aggro
know renault would have a tool but reckon there should be a way around it

Ive done some with mole grips in the past but others have needed a slot ground into the fixing to enable a large screwdriver to be inserted.

I wouldn't rush to quickly into the ECU - it would seem that the immobiliser just isn't recognising the key.
John :)

hi ch thanks for the info could you tell me where you ground the slot?
got plentyof screwdrivers and molies LOL

hi john i got an immobiliser bypass
(plug into diagnostics port type)
this didnt do it
which is why am looking at ecu if theres a chance of a fault anywhere else it would be a help

thanks
again

I'd try the bypass on another van first.
