Hi my mates renault laguna is stuck in park position and also the wipers have stopped working not sure weather this is linked but the wiper fuse is fine .On one website it mentions removing shunt fuse for 15mins but not sure of its location any help appreciated.

never heard of shunt fuse myself but they are probably referring to the metal fuseable links on top of or near the battery, usually under a cover
Hi, perhaps "Shunt " is someone's term for what they actually mean.

The gear lever will be locked in park because of a fuse,it's the same fuse that
also tells the ECU that the brake pedal is depressed and also control's the wiper stalk. It's a 20amp fuse (on the interior board) usually marked STOP on the diagram.
