Render onto mesh.

Got a rendering job coming up where customer wants a tile hung bay replaced with a render finish to match rest of property.

Is it necessary to ply first then ss mesh etc or (as I'm sure I''ve seen done before) fill voids between battens with stiff insulation then fix ss mesh directly to battens then render as normal??

If so what spec insulation should I use.

Any help greatly appreciated

i think a rigid type insulation would perhaps behave better behind the e.m.l.

there`s a special system of insulation with key/mesh for render.....can`t think of name used bt housing assn. rtc for refurbs
