Hi, i have just finished building planters in the garden and wondered if anyone could give me any advice on what i could use as a render...

I understand that you would usually render a house 6" above DPC to avoid rising damp... Is there a way to overcome this for my planters? Maybe an undercoat i could use? Waterproofing agent i could add to the render or actual material used to render?

The final look i was wanting to get was a clean crisp white finish and have seen that you can get white coloured renders which would be ideal. Failing that i could use whatever is best for the job and then just paint it.

I have attached a photo of the wall so far (i know its not great... Its "rustic"!) and any advice would be greatly appreciated.
