I have created an opening between my garage and what was a car port.

I would like to fit a secure door in the new hole, but first I must deal with the rough edges left behind after my demolition work.

I have a plasterer coming round early January to render a wall for me and was thinking I could grab some his mix to smarten these jagged edges up.

What should I do? I'm guessing I could put beads up each edge and then use some of his mix to make the edges smooth?

Any advice appreciated.

Either fit the door casing and beads and render up, fit the beads and render... or best of all....Get the man to do it :D
