Rendering and Repointing or Short Term Repair?

I'd appreciate help in weighing up the options in maintaining the Victorian building below in Bristol. I know that the rendering is over 30 years old now, perhaps more. However, there is a limited budget for general repairs and spending it has to be agreed by a mgmt co with lots of priorities.

Some current issues are:
- A few bricks need repointing but elsewhere the cement does seems firm.
- On the render, hairline cracks are starting to be visible. Some are up approaching 1 mm.
- On the render in five places half a brick is now exposed.

Obviously it would be nice to get some really good rendering work done but given the budget difficulties, I suppose I'm keen to know if this is a fix-up job and what might the downside of doing that time after time.

Presumably there's no penetrating damp?
The rendering looks rubbish - a very poor application.
But you say its firm, and only a few cracks could be seen so, given your money constraints then fill any widening cracks with Polysulphide (grey) sealant.
Use sand & cement repair bags (from plumbers or building suppliers) for patching bare spots.

FWIW: What is surprising is the amount of openings in that Victorian rear elevation yet opening heads all look to have remained level. Do you have cellars? Does the ground slope away down the rear garden?
