Hi,
I'm just preparing for my first rendering job on a back yard wall.
A couple of questions I have are:
1) I have a stainless steel stop bead to attach, but the wall is rough so the mesh doesn't rest flush against it. What is the best way to fix the mesh beading? - i tried dabbing with mortar but no good. Will the bead be ok once its bedded in with the scractch coat?
2) i've got bags of some Hanson sand/cement mortar mix claims its suitable for rendering (but no idea what the mix is) - will this be ok?

any advice much appreciated.

Do a bit of research on this forum all the answers are there if you look thru the old posts..

you could either nail your bead on with plasterboard nails into the mortar joint also you could try dot and dab adhsive (tack with nails to hold it) but make sure you prop your bead underneath to hold it up and make sure it's all level
