Good morning, I need to repair an exterior rendered wall where the surface has become flaky and unstable.

Please can someone advise the best way to repair this. Would it be best to chip off the flaky bits then patch up with a mortar sand and cement mix, prior to repainting.

The exiting surface is already fair,y uneven and rustic so am not looking for a perfect finish.

Maybe I could get away with just painting over with sandtex the bits that chip off.

Thanks.

Not too bad. Toupret masonry filler and patch up.
