Hi there

I'm about to embark on rendering an outside wall and was hoping for some pointers.

I'm trying to achieve a smooth finish using a plastering sand and cement mix, is this achievable in one coat and how do get a good smooth finish?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

dont forget a plastersizer and if its the wall to the house seek profesional advise first because you might cause damp. do it in two coats scratch coat then top coat 4-1 then 6-1 rub up with a plastic float and rub over with a sponge.

thanks for the info, when do you use the sponge, ie after a couple of hours drying time and does the sponge need to be wet?

Cheers

scuze my ignorance but what does rubbed up mean?

Cheers JB
