Renedering Advice.

Hi Guys long time no speak,

I need some advice when it comes to rendering, i am a self taught plasterer and have had a pretty good success with it over the last 5 years to say i have had no formal training, im am never without work.

Alas i have never rendered before, i understand the principles of lime and cement,angle bead, scratch coat and second coat but is it sharp sand or builders sand and do i have to PVA the wall first ??

You need plasterers sand + additives.

No need for pva, but you do need to damp the walls down with water.
