Are you fitting it yourself or getting a fitter in?

If you are getting a fitter in, be warned.... the bathroom industry is a fragile one and the whole idea of returning things willy nilly isnt the same as returning clothes. I get work through a very good bathroom supplier who give excellent after service. If things go wrong, they are on the ball in an instant. I have done quite a few jobs that were supplied by various internet outlets. Needless to say things went wrong and instead of getting replacement goods within a few days, it took weeks - with some being subject to heated arguements. On all occasions, I ended up charging a lot extra because of all the call backs. Any savings the customer thought they made were lost as well as having a lot of grief and headache. As such, I only give quotes to customers who are buying through a reputable bathroom specialist. Anyone else gets an estimate and a warning that it is subject to a lot of change if the suppliers cant provide a good after service. Ramble over.
