So I bought an old house (1953) here in Switzerland and now I am in the process of completely gutting it ... taking up the old wooden floors, removing tiles, stripping walls of paper/paint, removing kitchen and bathroom.

Nearly finished with the above and now wondering in what order to do things.

I am aware that the folowing needs to be done, but not sure of the order:
1) Under floor heating installation.
2) New windows.
3) New bathroom
4) New plumbing.
5) Complete re-wire
6) Remove 4 walls to make more open plan.
7) Tiling.
8) New kitchen
9) New sanitary system.
10) New wooden floors.
11) Papering/Painting/rendering of walls.
12) Insulation of loft ... can see backs of tile when standing in loft.
13) Loft conversion .. if budget allows.

I think that about does it. I am having some problems getting tradesmen to help, so if you are in Switzerland and looking for work, drop me a line.

One last query ... how successful is underfloor heating, under wooden floors?

Cheers
Chris
