I'm all for it.
We rent a couple of properties out to working professionals and they started off at below-market rates and are on much lower rates as we have not really increased their rents. However, not all
LLs,................,...... are as generous as we are.

We the gas/electric prices rocketing as well as almost everything it is time for greater fairness, IMHJ

I am aware that some T's take the mick but there are quite a few decent T's out there just like many LL's.

And another thread.

A bit different to gas/electricity/petrol/diesel caps, because the price of the cost of the property to the landlord will not go up if he owns it outright, so there would be no need to increase the rent dramatically. If they have a BTL mortgage, then that could increase the cost to the LL, but you can't cap one (owned or mortgaged) and not the other, so I would agree to a rent cap.
