Can anyone advise on how to fix a dodgy letterbox on my rented flat?

The letterbox on the outside of the door doesn't open fully. It looks like it's not correctly aligned with the hole in the door, so the top edge of the letterbox aperture is stopping the flap from opening to a 90-degree angle. There are some images below. How do I get the front letterbox off and aligned correctly? Or will I need to start cutting a new hole in the door?

Also on the inside of the door, the draught stopper flap on the inside of the door is missing as well. Do I need to replace the whole thing?

looks like you need to square off the opening at the front top as the flap looks like its grounding on the curve
take the front off and look for damage or rubbiing on the wood
may also need a say 5mm bevel off the top edges back from the front face for about 12-15mm to give a say 75-80 degree opening
may also be catching at points on each side

Looks like they used internal flap on outside , should open outwards on the outside.

Not exactly, many letterboxes open inwards, especially those fake brass ones.

Sentur needs to identify where it's catching, remove the plate then open up the hole a bit more before refitting.
Or as its a rented property, get the landlord to do it.
