Repainting Sash windows and mouldings

Hi All

We are needing to refinish the window frames on our hardwood sash windows and on softwood mouldings (skirting boards and architraves).

We originally used a satin white wood paint by Crown and swore we'd not use that again - really not that good!

So... we would be grateful if you could please recommend a quality satin finish for the above.

Satin finish is not ideal for timber that is handled regularly, a gloss is better, Crowns as good as any, it's not the paint at fault but the application.
