Repair of Christmas Lights

Can someone help me - I have a string of led Christmas lights outside of my house and some %*^&%&^ of a person has come along and took a pair of snips to the last metre of them.
(Hope they have a nice XMAS not)
I now have the string from the main supply (4 thin wires together) and another string with 7 mini wires. Does anyone know how to reconnect them - any advice at all even about how these things are wired.
Would hate to let the villain win.

Give us a picture but tbh as you are asking from a novice POV it might be difficult to make a satisfactory repair.
