Hi,

I’ve just had some movers in and when getting an awkward wardrobe up the stairs they’ve knocked the slanted part of the ceiling causing a crack to form across a newly decorated ceiling.

Is there an easy/best way to go about repairing and repainting this?

Rake the crack out and gun in some Toupret Flex and Fill.

It is similar to decorator's caulk but has fibres to reinforce it. Vacuum out the crack first to remove the plaster dust. Gun in the filler. Remove the excess and leave it for a day to cure and shrink back. The following day fill the remainder of the crack with Toupret Quick Fill. It is a very soft and slightly flexible filler. Sand it with a relatively gentle sandpaper, eg 150 grit. The dust generated when sanding will not become statically charged and stick to everything.
