So the previous owners had the tumble drier in the garage with a vent though the bricks to the outside.

I know I’m going to need to replace a couple of the bricks, but how? Am I going to be ok chiselling/bolstering them both out? I’m not going to cause any structural damage?

Thanks

Drill a series of holes using a masonry drill bit around each of the bricks you want removing (In the mortar join). Should then be much easier to remove with hammer and chisel/bolster.

Daft question. I'm not going to cause any structural issues removing a couple of bricks?

No. Stitch drilling around the bricks as mentioned above will result in the least amount of damage to the surrounding brick.

The top image is best case scenario. Bottom image worse case.

When putting the bricks back in make sure your top mortar joint is packed nice and tight with mortar using a tuck pointer or similar.

or just put a brick in the hole and fill it up but it doesn’t look as good as being bricked up
