Repairing leak in body of ceramic toilet

I have a toilet which has a leak at the bottom where the manufacturer sealed a hole resulting in the casting of the unit, but now it is leaking through some kind of paste they used to seal the hole.

Does anybody know what is best to seal the small gap? I have sanitary silicone but I do not know if it will last. I also have Jolly epoxy resin as used for stone joining and crack repairs.

I once repaired an outside toilet that had iced up in the winter-split it in two halves around the waer line. I used Araldite to glue both halves together, that repair lasted for years
