What is the best way to repair twin and earth insulation? I'm only referring to the grey outer that has been torn, rather than the brown and blue beneath which is still very much intact. Insulation tape is a bit gash, and the cable is not in the position to be replaced and access is too hard to fit a box unless it's pretty easy to snap together (maintenance free type, of course). Is there a clip-on plastic device that is suitable? I can't thread shrink-wrap over the end which is a shame. The tear is located beneath floor-board level where it comes out of hole from a stud wall.
