Repairing roof mortar

Hi Guys,

I've noticed the mortar on the side of my extension has broken away, it looks a straightforward enough job to repair I just need to know the ingredients for the mortar mix - please could you advise what i need ?

I am not a expert but I used a ratio of 4 sand to 1 cement on mine and it is good

Really need taking out first.
There's every chance the tiles will break before the sand and cement (doesn't look like mortar to me) breaks away.
