Repairing scratches with soft wax repair kit?

It depends on the exact nature of the scratchesnand without seeing the piece in question it is very difficult to be specific. If the finish is a clear lacquer and the scratches are whitish and/or deep you may need to colour them with a furniture touch-up pen first to disguise the scratch before mixing and applying any wax - coloured wax annot hide everything. For light abrasions alone coloured wax mixed to a close match, rubbed along the scratche then buffed out can do the trick. Also a quick application of old fashioned furniture wax (e.g. Johnsons paste wax) followed by buffin out with a clean, lint-free cloth can generally make a piece of furniture look better especially if it is a little dulled.
