Can anyone help with the procedure to replace battery in a KX12DQ-WE detector. not a lot of help from manual, and even less help from customer service whose view is pay an installer to do it

Take cover off pir and take out battery,replace with new battery CR123A replace cover of pir,enter code number to stop noise,then enter code and press yes.This should clear fault.
Note. If programmed for engineer tamper,then engineer code would be required,you will not no until try to reset following battery change.
