Replace corner bath panel

Hi all, need to replacre old tatty corner bath panel, was thinking about usign plywood then tiling with mosaics, questions is what thickness ply would people recommend?clearly there needs to be some give to allow wood to flex, anybody done this before too?

Use aqua panel, no flex, or the tiles will fall off.
