hi, our thermostat needs replacing and wrongly assumed this would be a simple job! i need some help!

current one is a drayton T45 RTS4 (not sure if that's the correct model as is taken from within the plastic housing) - pic below..

the wiring sticker in the case states:

N L 1 2 3
N L C SAT CALL

I have a honeywell T6360B to replace it with and don't want to just guess which wires go where!

appreciate any help..

With all due respect, I reckon you lack the skills to do this safely; get a pro to do it properly.

thanks for reply - is it that complex? if it involves rewiring the timer switch, then i will heed your advice above. it's only a switch, isn't it? didn't think it would be that tricky..

is a ravenheat combi boiler - and you're probably right, i don't think is suitable. i'll look around for a drayton rts4 replacement which will make it more straightforward!

thanks for responses!

Some draytons are completely different from generic models in the sense that they require a live feed as well as the switch wires.
Combine that with the fact that many a thermostat is wired up with the wrong cables, and more often than not "neutral wires" are used for phase, and you have ample potential for damage and danger.
It is neither a big job, or particularly complicated, but if you are not familiar with this stuff, it is not worth risking it.
If you combine the job with a boiler service, the installation of the new roomstat should cost very little.
