Replace Potterton Mini Minder E with Honeywell ST9400S

Hi, I need to replace my Potterton Mini Minder E (white one) with Honeywell ST9400S. Can I use the existing Mini Minder backplate? or Do I have to change the backplate? If I have to change the backplate, do I have to drill more holes on the wall (can I use the existing hole)?

I would be very grateful, if any one here can give me some advice over this. Thanks a lot.
