Has anyone had their washing machine serviced and have the
lid switch replaced? If so - how much can I expect this to cost?

Thank you.

sorry to tell you this:

1) Forum rule 9 says we can not give prices

2) no idea as you are in America, and this is a uk forum

I was actually looking for a general idea - like not a big deal, somewhat costly or not worth it - do it yourself.

Thanks.

If anyone has this problem - check the hinges on the lid. If there is a loose screw on the hinge, it does not make contact with the lid switch & the washer doesn't work. All the repairman had to do was tighten the screws on the lid.
