Replace wired door sensors

I have a wired alarm system, reliable and maintained.

Just had new doors fitted and the fitters have put the old sensors back, which work fine but look old and yellow on the new frames.

Is fitting a new one as simple as undoing and rewiring like for like, possibly entering user code to stop the tamper which I assume will go off?

If it's more than that I'll get the alarm company out, but if it's as simple as that the switches seem nice and cheap so would do myself.
