Ok, if I get something like the link below how would I connect it to the current connecter box as seen in pic?
I would say you wouldn't.

Would I just remove the connector on the new one then wire it into the old connector box?
You would connect the house wiring to the new connector block - but it might be too small for the two cables so you might have to do something else - you will have to see.
 
That light has the connectors in an enclosure fixed to the light. By far and away the easiest thing to do is to connect the mains cables to it - why would you not?
